BLOOD
Character/concept:
Elizabeth is a bit of an amateur cave explorer, meaning she should have planned for a rockslide, but she did not. The rocks hit her right side rendering her right eye useless, and leaving it nothing more than an open wound. After attempting stitches over the eye, and finding the pain unbearable, her companion decided staples would be the best bet. Luckily Elizabeth was injured the worst, and no one was dead. Hopefully the group can make it out alive.
I think this makeup would be suitable for stage or film. For film the benefit would come from the use of a prosthetic and the makeup artist not having to recreate the same eye injury every shooting. For stage this would be best suited for a space like a black box, so the audience could really see the injury. This prosthetic would be very convenient for a show that required a quick injury to happen, like say in between scenes. It would be very easy for the actor apply the prosthetic at the very least.
